Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 16, 2026 • Effective Date: September 16, 2026
Core Privacy Commitment: PDFMaster Pro is designed with privacy by default. All document editing, OCR text recognition, image-to-PDF conversion, and Microsoft Office document transformations happen 100% locally on your device. We do NOT upload, inspect, sell, or share your documents with any external server without your explicit action.
1. Overview & Information We Collect
This Privacy Policy explains how Vanya Tech ("we", "us", or "our") handles user information when you use our mobile application PDFMaster Pro / PDF Editor (the "App").
A. Information Processed Locally (On-Device)
- Documents & Files: PDF files, images, Office documents (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX), signatures, and notes you open or create in the App are processed entirely in local memory on your Android device.
- OCR & Document Scanner: Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and camera document scanning use Google ML Kit on-device processing models. No images or text are sent to the cloud.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Anonymous Analytics & Diagnostics: We may use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to monitor application stability, crash logs, and anonymized performance metrics. This data does not contain personal identity or document contents.
- Advertising Identifiers: Non-personalized or personalized advertising provided by Google AdMob may use standard advertising IDs (AAID) in accordance with Google Play Advertising policies. Users can disable ad personalization in their device settings or upgrade to Pro to remove all ads.
2. Device Permissions & Why We Need Them
The App requests only the necessary permissions required to provide document utility services:
- Camera (
android.permission.CAMERA): Required only if you use the document scanner or ID card capture features. Captured images remain strictly on your device.
- Storage / Media Access: Required to open, edit, and save PDF files selected by you through Android's secure Storage Access Framework (SAF) file picker.
- Internet (
android.permission.INTERNET): Used solely for:
- Optional user-initiated Google Drive Cloud Backup / Sync.
- Local Wi-Fi Drop file transfers on your home/office network.
- Serving ads via Google AdMob (for free tier users) and in-app purchase verification via Google Play Billing.
3. Google Drive API Integration & Scopes
PDFMaster Pro offers an optional Google Drive Cloud Vault feature. If you connect your Google Account:
- Scoped Access (
drive.file): The App only requests access to files that were specifically created or opened by PDFMaster Pro. The App does NOT have permission to browse or access unrelated personal files in your Google Drive.
- Zero Data Sharing: Your Google Drive tokens and credentials are securely stored within Android's encrypted keystore/SharedPreferences and are never shared or transmitted to Vanya Tech servers.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party SDKs that adhere to strict data security standards:
- Google Play Billing: Handles secure in-app purchases and subscription payments. We never see or store your payment card details.
- Google AdMob: Serves advertisements to users on the free tier. Privacy policy: Google Ads Policy.
- Google ML Kit & Firebase: Provides on-device computer vision and crash reporting. Privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
Because PDFMaster Pro stores documents locally on your device and in your personal Google Drive, you have complete control over your data:
- You can delete any document from your device at any time.
- You can disconnect Google Drive or remove the
PDF Editor Cloud Vault folder directly in your Google Drive account.
- You can clear application data or uninstall the App to permanently remove all cached files and preferences.
- To request deletion of any telemetry/support communications, visit our Data Deletion Page or email us.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)
PDFMaster Pro does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.
7. Security Safeguards
We implement enterprise-grade security features including optional biometric app lock, on-device AES-256 PDF encryption, and Android Flag-Secure screen protection against unauthorized screen captures.
